Homework May 3-May 7

Homework:

Music:

Part 1: We need 10 couplets by Friday, each student should write at least two but don't stop if your creative juices are flowing.

Examples:

Yes our food takes longer, longer to produce
But makes our immune system stronger that what the sniggles use

Quality is better than quantity in the long-term kind of way
We don’t have to visit the doctor everyday!

Part 2:
Write a verse to the music of Coldplay's Clocks.

Mail it to your google.docs editor and they will put it on the Winterhaven Shimbun

Food is More (to the tune of Clocks by Coldplay)

Trees go down and they can’t be saved
We can find a better way
We must stop this insanity
And learn to live sustainably

Planning for the future takes
Learning from our past mistakes.
If we can not compromise
This could lead to our demise

Food is more. Food is more.

Healthy food takes time and care
(You) can’t just find it anywhere
Mass produced food just can’t feed
Us the nutrients we need.

If we all could grow our own
(And) reap the seeds that we have sown
Then we’d build our communities
To maximize opportunities.

Food is more. Food is more.

Take some time to think about
(The) fast-food ways the sniggles tout.
(The) cons seem to outweigh the pros
(And) where that leads, well no one knows.

When we ignore our good senses
There’s unintended consequences
Slow and steady wins the race
We can’t go on at this fast pace.

Food is more. Food is more.

Clocks lyrics
Songwriters: Berryman, Guy; Buckland, Jon; Champion, Will; Martin, Chris;

The lights go out and I can't be saved
Tides that I tried to swim against
Have brought me down upon my knees
Oh I beg, I beg and plead singing

Come out of things unsaid
Shoot an apple off my head
And a trouble that can't be named
A tiger's waiting to be tamed singing

You are
You are

Confusion never stops
Closing walls and ticking clocks
Gonna come back and take you home
I could not stop that you now know singing

Come out upon my seas
Cursed missed opportunities
Am I a part of the cure?
Or am I part of the disease? Singing

You are
You are
You are
You are

You are
You are

And nothing else compares
And nothing else compares
And nothing else compares

You are
You are

Home, home where I wanted to go
Home, home where I wanted to go
Home, home where I wanted to go
Home, home where I wanted to go
